Introduction: 
The
 Kawi script is an ancient, Brahmi-derived script widely used throughout
 the Malay archipelango in the 8th to 13th century. It became the 
precursor of various indigenous scripts in Indonesia and Phillipines, 
sharing the same basic principles and similar shapes. 
Shapes of Kawi:
The
 letter shapes of Kawi can be ambigious since there is no standard model
 for a single "script". Letters vary from one inscription to another, 
and text books divide this into an assortment of Kawis; early, mid, 
late, transitional, plain, decorative, quadratic, and so on. Prayara is 
based on the shapes of late Kawi; fully matured and highly decorative 
compared to earlier inscriptions.
